Entries open for Queensland Chef of the Year 2021

Queensland’s most coveted title for chefs is calling for entries from around the state for the prestigious and challenging competition, to be held at Food & Hospitality Queensland, 1-2 August 2021, Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre.

Open to any professional chef working in Australia, Queensland Chef of the Year has grown to become a highly sought-after title with the winner receiving $2,000 cash and a trip to Sydney for the Australian Chef of the Year competition.

Sponsors Unox Australia and Alsco are continuing their support in 2021, with long-time sponsor Wayne Viles from Unox saying he is thrilled with the way the competition has evolved.

Queensland Chef of the Year is held at the centre of Food & Hospitality Queensland, the state's trade show for the hospitality industry. Other special events include the Café School, the Chef Success Workshop and the Aged Care Catering Summit. Free tickets are available here.

Any qualified chef working in Australia is eligible to enter the competition. The top 28 will be chosen to compete live at the finals running over two days as part of Food & Hospitality Queensland. This will culminate in the Grand Final on Monday 2 August.
